Regions

Work with our coordinators and regional leaders to put self-advocacy into action.

Coordinators and regional leaders can help self-advocates: get a group started; provide basic self-advocacy and self-determination training; connect people to opportunities to share their expertise.

SDM Task Force

Supported Decision Making is an alternative to guardianship, and something that could help elders and people with disabilities.  The purpose of supported decision making is to have the ability to make your own choices with support.  You get to select your team to help with important decisions in your life.

MA21 Proud Member

The Massachusetts Alliance for 21st Century Disability Policy (MA21) was formed in 2007 to protect the right of people with disabilities to self direct, and through its efforts helped pass the Real Lives Law in 2014.

MA21 is a partnership of self-advocates, family members, other stakeholders and disability advocacy organizations.
