Advocacy interests: Advocating, Mentoring and tutoring.
Why I advocate: I have passion to advocate for people with different types of disabilities.
When I’m not advocating you can find me: Playing video games, Going Bowling and using my computer.
Karen Kent
Vice President | Central
Advocacy interests: Going to the State House, being on the self-advocacy board, getting awards from Center of Hope.
Why I advocate: I like to be a speaker. People ask questions about special needs. I teach people about it. I advocate for myself and help other people who need help.
When I’m not advocating you can find me: Doing Special Olympics softball and cheerleading.
Sandra Jones
State Treasurer | Northeast
Advocacy interests: It’s important because so many don’t get to do what they want to so I speak up. It’s sad but many get their rights taken away.
Why I advocate: Transportation, human rights, voting, increasing opportunities for jobs.
When I’m not advocating you can find me: Cooking, cleaning spending time with Missy, my dog, going to the beach, and shopping.
Jillian Berube
Second Vice President | Central
Advocacy interests: Helping students learn to advocate for their education, inclusion, and self direction.
Why I advocate: I advocate so students with disabilities can have access to materials for any subject in school, and sit together with their peers in classes that are not isolated.
When I’m not advocating you can find me: Writing my own song lyrics and singing, creating dream boards, having fun with friends, enjoying the summer at the lake, and going on Pinterest.

Advocacy interests: Helping other people, helping people who don’t have a voice, and advocating for myself when I need to.
Why I advocate: Because I feel like it’s important for our voices to be heard.
When I’m not advocating you can find me: I’m hanging with my friends, reading a book, taking a walk, listening to music, watching my favorite tv show.

Why I advocate: To speak for those who need help.
When I’m not advocating you can find me: Watching movies.
Brenda Rankin

Advocacy interests: I want to advocate for voting—I just registered and a lot of other people here at Wrentham Developmental Center did too. I really enjoyed being on the planning committee for the 2018 conference.
I think people should be able to do the same things as everyone else and everyone should be respected.
Why I advocate: I like to talk with people, and I like to go to the board meetings. I like to know what’s going on!
When I’m not advocating you can find me: I am a people person! I like answering the phone in my apartment and at work, having coffee with people like my social worker, going to the Senior Center for lunch, and all kinds of activities like parties.

Why I advocate: Equality for all.
When I’m not advocating you can find me: Riding my bike, doing art projects, and drawing.

Why I advocate: To help others find my voice.
When I’m not advocating you can find me: On my iPad, dancing, at the beach, or a concert.

Advocacy interests: Housing and transportation.
Why I advocate: To get better housing and transportation for people with disabilities.
When I’m not advocating you can find me: Playing Special Olympics, especially basketball.
Jackie Dulmaine
Central
Advocacy interests: I run a self-advocacy group with just Central. I came up with it to get people more involved with MASS.
Why I advocate: I advocate for others because they have a hard time advocating for themselves. And not only that, I like to help other people advocate, not only for them but for myself as well.
When I’m not advocating you can find me: I try to see my family and friends as much as I can. Friends from work, friends outside of work. I just take my time as it comes and I just spend most of my time on the computer. I try to do other things, but I hang out with my housemates.

Advocacy interests: Going to the State House to help pass bills at the State House to help other self-advocates.
Why I advocate: To help MASS advocate for us, to help advocate at the State House, to help my friends advocate if they would not be able to advocate.
When I’m not advocating, you can find me: I have a part-time job at Star Market. I would be working at Star Market.

Advocacy interests: Human Rights and anti-bullying.
Why I advocate: I like learning new things and being part a movement.
When I’m not advocating, you can find me: Going on the internet and watching my favorite tv shows like Call the Midwife.
