This is a story about my life before I knew about advocacy.  It's a story about how advocacy changed my life and how I'm able to advocate for me.  Since I started I'm a much better person because of the support I have with Bridgewell and advocacy.  I have a great bunch of friends and coworkers that help me when I'm down. There is a saying I like to say to keep me positive. It goes like this, "The beat will keep me alive. Music will help me survive. Going to climb to starry skies above."

Self advocacy and Special Olympics is another great place to go because I have a lot of friends. These friends really help me be the person I should be. I finally realized I'm me for only me. I shouldn't have to be something I'm not, because I'm happy with who I turned out to be.

I'm very grateful and honored to have advocacy as a part of my life. The only other person who inspired me to keep trying is my God daughter, who is with God now. When she was alive she had a lot of stuff going on in her life but she was never sad. She always seemed to have a huge smile on her face no matter what and I was able to help her play wii sports bowling when no one thought to have her do this.

Finally, I owe a lot to advocacy and family. I also have a special girl friend who means everything to me. I help her advocate and speak up when she has to.
