I advocate, first of all, for myself. Second of all, to better my community and the world. There's many examples I can think of, but one specific example of when a bathroom door wasn't accessible and I advocated for an automated door for a building that I frequently used prior to the pandemic.

One of my favorite things about advocating is not only putting- not only for Central- not only do I want to put myself out there, I want people to learn from my perspective of what self-advocacy is, what self-advocacy is about, what they can learn from self-advocacy, so that more individuals can learn- more individuals can join our Central group.

MASS Board Member Kim Plaut was recently featured in an article by Katie Lannan for 22 News about the Supported Decision Making bill currently making its way through the Massachusetts State House.
Lannan writes:
